OVERVIEW
Green way is an environmental program implemented by Mont Way and the NGO Gnijezdo, with the goal of promoting sustainable waste management through education, innovation, recycling, and digital solutions. The project includes a web platform, a backend system, and mobile applications for Android, iOS, and Huawei devices. Through the Green way app, companies and institutions are provided with a simple way to manage their selected waste, with full transparency of their environmental performance. The program actively contributes to environmental protection and raising the standards of sustainable business practices in Montenegro.

CHALLENGE
Green way faced the challenge of digitalizing and centralizing the waste management process for companies, institutions, and organizations in Montenegro. Previously, the process relied on unstructured methods for reporting and collecting waste, lacking transparency and proper digital records. Key challenges included the need for a reliable platform that allows users to request waste pickup directly from their location, track quantities and waste streams, and comply with environmental regulations - all in a simple and accessible way for end users.

SOLUTION

We developed a digital ecosystem consisting of a mobile application (Android, iOS, Huawei), a web platform, and a backend system tailored to support eco-conscious business practices. The mobile app allows companies and institutions to schedule waste pickups, track quantities of selected waste, and monitor their sustainability performance through a digital “green report.” The backend enables administrators to manage requests, optimize logistics, and ensure compliance with ecological standards. The system was designed with usability and scalability in mind, providing a seamless experience for both end-users and service operators.

RESULT
Companies and institutions now have a simple and efficient way to report and manage their selected waste, while administrators benefit from a centralized system that improves operational oversight and ensures ecological compliance. The solution promotes transparency, enhances sustainability reporting, and supports the transition to greener business practices across Montenegro. With ongoing adoption, the platform contributes to building a stronger network of environmentally responsible organizations.
